Summer Schedule 2010

Age Limits: The camper must be within the camp’s listed age range by the beginning of your chosen camp. Only campers with a birthday during a week of camp may choose which age camp to attend.

Registration: Sundays 3:00-4:30 p.m. for camps beginning on Sunday. At stated time for all other camps/retreats.

You’re Invited: Every Friday family and friends are invited to the closing worship service and supper. Worship begins at 4:00 p.m. and you’ll get a taste of what your camper learned from the Bible throughout the week. Supper begins at 5:00 p.m. Please notify Baptist Park by Thursday how many family and friends will attend supper (not including your camper). A $6 per person donation for supper is encouraged.

Pick Up: Week long camps end on Friday with supper at 5:00 p.m. All campers must be off campus by 6:30p.m. Pick up for other camps is as listed.

    Flight Camp
    June 27-July 2, 2010
    Ages 14-18

    Have you always wanted to fly? Have you ever considered the thrill of serving God and your fellow man as a missionary pilot? Then this camp's for you. In partnership with Brigade Air, Baptist Park is offering Flight Camp as an introduction to aviation. Campers will learn about the fundamentals of flight in daily class sessions, participate in actual flights (weather permitting) in an airplane with a qualified, licensed pilot, and be introduced to careers in aviation (with an emphasis on missions aviation) through guest speakers. Maximum number of campers accepted: 12. Cost: $1,320. Brigade Air will provide a $1,000 scholarship for every camper registered. Final cost: $320.     Jump Start Adventures
    June 27-July 2, 2010
    Ages 8-10

    Campers will enjoy swimming, crafts, nature studies, a 70-goot slip and slide, sports, zip line, and many more exciting camp activities. But there will be more happening this week than just these activities! The campers will celebrate the theme "Circus Hallelujah." The speaker will be Christian jugglers "The Supreme Court Jesters," who will teach God's Word through circus arts. Cost: $205 if registration postmarked by June 17, 2010; $230 after June

    Basketball Camp
    July 5-10, 2010
    Ages 10-14

    Jarrod Briston, who has coached middle school basketball for 16 years, will be the head coach as the campers develop their skills on the hardwood. Campers will travel daily to Presque Isle High School for their basketball instruction. Campers will also have access to other camp activities in the late afternoons, including: swimming, zip line, and much more! The evening chapel speaker is to be announced. Registration will be from 8:30-9:30 am on Monday, July 5; and camp will end after breakfast on Saturday, July 10. Campers must be off campus by 9:30 am.
    Cost: $230; if pre-registration is postmarked by June 25; otherwise the cost is $255

    Maxed Out Adventure
    July 11-16, 2010
    Ages 9-12

    Baptist Park will wecome back long time friend Pastor Rick Messana as our evening speaker. Pastor Rick is the pastor of the North Livermore Baptist Church. Campers will experience games, activities, and lessons around the theme of 'The Amazing Race'. Cost: $205 if registration postmarked by July 1, 2009; $230 after July 1.

    Outpost Wilderness Camp
    July 18-23, 2010
    Ages 13-17

    Campers are invited to experience the challenge and thrill of living in the wilderness, cooking over a fire, exploring the plants and animals of the Maine woods, compass use, hiking, canoeing, and encountering God. The speaker will be John Weller, youth pastor at the Windham Assembly of God Church. Cost: $205 if registration postmarked by July 8, 2010; $230 after July 8.

    Growing Up Adventure
    July 18-20, 2010
    Ages 6-8

    Campers can get their first experience at a sleep away camp. The theme for these three days is "2010--year of the Senses," and campers will experience God through all five senses. The speaker will be the Supreme Court Jesters, who will use juggling and illusions to present the Gospel to these children. Camp ends Tuesday with supper. Family members are invited to attend both the closing worship at 4:00 p.m. and supper at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 20. Campers must be off campus by 6:30 p.m.
    Cost: $99

    Small Fry Day Camp
    July 23, 2010
    Ages 4-5

     

    The theme for our youngest campers this summer is 'Welcome to Camp'. Children may spend the day at camp and be introduced to the activities, Biblical instruction, people, and suroundings that have been a big part of so many other people's lives over the years. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. Supper served at 4:30 p.m. Pick up your camper promptly at 5:00 p.m. Cost: $30

    Puddle Jumper Day Camp
    July 24, 2010
    Ages 6-7

     

    If your child is ready for a day of exciting activities and biblical instruction but not for a night away from home alone, this camp is for him/her! Campers will be celebrating Easter in July this year. There will be egg decorating, egg hunts, Easter eg crafts, and lessons on the resurrection of Jesus on that very first Easter. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. Supper is served at 4:30 p.m. Pick up your camper promptly at 5:00 p.m.
    Cost: $30 per day

    Lifting Off Camp
    July 25-30
    Ages 11-14

    Campers will play a variety of life-sized games such as Clue, Monopoly, Sorry, as the theme is "The Game of Life". The speaker will be Pastor Fred Shapiro of the Willimantic, Connecticut Baptist Church.
    Cost: $205 if pre-registration is postmarked by July 15; otherwise the cost is $230

    Labor Day Staff Retreat
    September 3-6, 2010

    Staff will be reuniting for the weekend to fellowship together, debrief from the summer, and begin planning for next year.
    Cost: $35

    Women's Retreat
    September 10-11, 2010
    Ages 13 and older (teens must be accompanied by an adult)
